Romeo & Juliet
About
Before we learned all the answers, we knew how to wonder.
The Little Prince is an adaptation based on the novel of the same name
The Little Prince is a theatrical adaptation developed by Know Promises core members Doris Vahtra and Brian Francis Devaney in collaboration with students from Rakvere Waldorf School.
Inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's beloved story, this playful and imaginative interpretation follows a journey through deserts, memories, and distant planets, where childlike wonder collides with the strange logic of the adult world. Through movement, music, ensemble performance, and visual storytelling, the production explores the questions that lie at the heart of the original text: how we see one another, what we choose to value, and what remains invisible beneath the surface.
Created initially as a school project and later redeveloped for the School Theatre Festival, the performance grew from the creativity, commitment, and curiosity of the young ensemble who helped shape it.
The Little Prince is a story dedicated to the child that remains within each of us — the part that still believes in imagination, asks difficult questions, and finds meaning in unexpected places. It reminds us that not everything important can be measured, explained, or seen, and that sometimes understanding the world begins with learning how to look at it differently.

“Ühel hilisõhtul, sellest on nüüd juba kuus aastat tagasi, juhtus minuga Sahaara kõrbes lennuõnnetus…
“One late evening, now already six years ago, I had an air accident in the Sahara Desert…
For me, it was a matter of life and death. I had barely enough drinking water for a week.
So I fell asleep on the first night on the sand, a thousand miles from any inhabited place. I was more lonely than a castaway in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on his raft.
And now you can imagine my surprise when, at sunrise, a funny little voice woke me up…”
